S100A8 / S100A9（MRP（8/14）是一種鈣結(jié)合蛋白，由中性粒細(xì)胞和單核細(xì)胞分泌而成，糞便中S100A8 / S100A9是贅生性和炎癥性胃腸疾病的標(biāo)志物，一般情況下很難區(qū)分腸易激綜合癥和慢性炎癥性腸病，所以很多時(shí)候會(huì)導(dǎo)致廣泛和不必要結(jié)腸鏡檢查，而S100A8 / S100A9檢測(cè)可以使兩組患者明確區(qū)分。將該標(biāo)記物與結(jié)腸直腸癌的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)糞便潛血篩查進(jìn)行比較，能夠清楚地證明了糞便S100A8 / S100A9測(cè)試的診斷優(yōu)勢(shì)，該參數(shù)具有較高的診斷價(jià)值：如果糞便中的S100A8 / S100A9水平較低，則很可能不存在器質(zhì)性疾病。
